Your eyes are magnificent, so it's important that you look after them. Our eye exams don't just check your prescription, but the health of your eyes, too. Our highly trained optometrists will screen for a number of eye conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration as well as systemic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. We will use optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual fields screening to best-analyse the health of your precious eyeballs.

Though it may not always be necessary, we allow up to an hour for appointments. At Ransome, we prioritise patient rapport and a detailed eye health check, so feel it's important to allow enough time to ensure a comprehensive examination.

Any glasses you have or prescriptions could be useful to our optometrists so definitely bring them in. We are also able to replace lenses in existing frames so it's a good idea to bring them in case there is a change in your vision.

Yes, we use a full range of diagnostic equipment to screen for many eye conditions and systemic health conditions. We also have strong links with various NHS and private ophthalmologists so can guarantee swift and reliable onward referrals if ever necessary.

Yes, of course! We provide contact lens fittings and aftercare appointments and stock all of the best known brands like Johnson & Johnson and Coopervision. Contact lenses are a fantastic alternative to glasses for those who live an active lifestyle or simply prefer not to have four eyes.
