Your journey begins with an in-depth consultation, where we carefully analyse your facial contours and nuances. Only the finest materials—acetate or natural horn—are chosen for their durability and timeless elegance.

From there, each frame is meticulously cut, shaped, and polished to perfection, ensuring a flawless fit that enhances your face and complements your unique personality.

The Process

Designing.

Wonky ears? Chunky nose? No problem - we’ll get those facial measurements just right. You’ll pick your favourite acetate, we’ll sketch a design and make a wooden template. You’ll approve the design.

Making.

Your hand-crafted spectacles are born. Ready to adorn your nose and please your eyes.

Wearing.

Transfer the shape to acetate. Then it's time to get serious. Cut it, file it, sand it, sand it some more, polish it. Rivets in. Hinges on. Then we'll call you back for a final fitting for the lenses.

Of course! The possibilities are endless. As well as making the highest quality clear lenses, the range of Zeiss sun lenses is abundant - from green to cinammon, from blue to magma orange!
Yes...for now. The equipment and the processes that we use to craft our frames are totally unique to cellulose acetate. It's also biodegradable (eventually). We champion various other brands who work with different materials such as wood and metal - you'll be spoilt for choice!
For bespoke frames, it's much better that we see you in person at Ransome HQ so that we can take your facial measurements, try some things on and have a good old chin wag. That said, if you absolutely can't get to us, we can make it work from afar. We're good like that.
